The vision of ASI is to be the world's leader in providing a one-stop, digital blockchain-based traceability platform for all documents required by seafood importers.
Founded to create a partnership between US and India aqua-consulting groups, ASI promotes the use of sustainable aquafarming practices by transferring state-of-the art indoor and outdoor RAS design and operations and being a responsible agent for sourcing certified SPF broodstock animals. We seek to promote environmentally and consumer safe aquafarming that yields wholesome seafood products, validated and verified along the value chain.
Our Team
Anthony C. Ostrowski, Ph.D.
Dr. Ostrowski "Tony" is founder and owner of AquaSource International. He has over 35 years research and C-level management experience in aquaculture. Tony was principal investigator on multimillion dollar research projects, director and executive committee co-chair of a multi-state, multi-institution shrimp R&D consortium, and CEO of the world renown aquaculture organization, Oceanic Institute. He also worked in China for several years as CEO of a shrimp breeding company and CSO of a shrimp and fish RAS company. He has promoted sustainable aquaculture production practices through his work and was on the board of the Aquaculture Certification Council, the precursor to Global Aquaculture Alliance's, Best Aquaculture Practices division, an international certification program for aquaculture.
Colanukuduru Ravindran
Ravindran "Ravi" is founder and owner of Dearsar Project Consultancy, Pvt. Ltd. the strategic partner of AquaSource International in India. Ravi has 40 years experience in leadership, consulting, strategy & turnaround management across business sectors including Power, Oil & Gas, IT & e-governance, aquaculture and international trade. In aquaculture, he has been involved in sourcing and marketing of aquaculture products, fund raising, software development, automation & integration of indoor and outdoor RAS facilities, and e-commerce of aquaculture products. Ravi specializes in conceptualizing and setting up new business ventures to exploit available market potential. He is presently pioneering development of blockchain-based traceability for the aquaculture industry.
